Mar Baselios School of Nursing
The School of nursing was started by MBMM Association attached to the MBMM Hospital in the year 1980, and now it working at Mar Baselios College of Nursing , Thangalam, Kothamangalam for GNM (3.5 Years) Course.
Mar Baselios College of Nursing Thangalam, Kothamangalam
The nursing College was started by the MBMMA in the year 2003. The College has an annual intake of 60 students for BSc and total 16 seats for MSc in various Disciplines. The demand for admission in this College is so high that the College administration is able to accommodate only a fraction of the applications received every year. Also very few colleges are permitted to conduct MSc program in India.
Mar Baselios Dental College Thangalam, Kothamangalam
The Dental College was started in the year 2002 by Mar Baselios Medical Mission Association (MBMMA). The present annual intake is 60 students. The College is rated as one of the best Dental Colleges in the State in private sector. The college has started MDS program in 2009. The College has received minority community status from 2008 Very few colleges are permitted to conduct MDS program in India.
Mar Basil Higher Secondary School
Mar Basil Higher Secondary School was built in the name of St.Yeldo Mar Baselious Bava. It is owned by the St. Thomas Church (cheriyapalli). The school has consistently managed to attain excellent scholastic performance over the years. That excellence has percolated into sports as well. Our recent successes in sports stand as a true testament to our commitment towards the society by creating individuals healthy in mind and body. In 1935, an upper primary school near the St. Thomas Church, run by the State Government of Kerala was forced to close down owing to specific reasons. From then on the members of this church took it upon themselves to have an institution that would aim to uplift the educational and cultural face of Kothamangalam and its surrounding areas.
Mar Baselios Institute of Technology and Science [MBITS]
Mar Baselios Group of Institutions was started with a great vision of the Managing committee of Mar Thoma Cheria Pally, Kothamangalam for the benefit of common people to uplift their education and healthcare. Its journey in the field of higher education was started in 1936 by establishing Mar Basil School in Kothamangalam. This Government aided higher secondary school secured first position in Kerala state for sports, during the last three consecutive years. The Mar Baselios Group of Institutions is presently managing Mar Baselios Medical Mission Hospital (Estd in 1978) – A 400 bedded multi-speciality hospital along with Mar Baselios School of Nursing (Estd in 1980), Mar Baselios Dental college (Estd in 2002) – one of the top Dental colleges with BDS and MDS programs, Mar Baselios College of Nursing (Estd in 2003) with BSc and MSc and St. Mary’s Public School (Estd in 2001 – a higher secondary school recognised by CBSE).
